Sauble and Wiarton MD Quest is a citizen led committee whose goals include the recruitment of new physicians to South Bruce Peninsula and to retain those medical professionals who have already decided that South Bruce Peninsula is where they will practice. Being a physician in South Bruce Peninsula means that you can either be a part of the South Bruce Peninsula Family Health Organization or the Sauble Family Health Team. Physicians in both locations provide primary care with physicians from the South Bruce Peninsula Family Health Organization also participating in on-call rotation for the Emergency Department of the Grey Bruce Health Services (Wiarton site). Grey Bruce Health Services Mental Health and Addictions department includes a wide range of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. GBHS have an acute care psychiatric inpatient unit, a psychogeriatic unit, as well as a psychiatric intensive care unit in Owen Sound. GBHS team provides short and long term mental health support for patients across the Grey Bruce region.
