TAKE NOTICE the Council of the Town of South Bruce Peninsula adopted By-Law 67-2024 which is a by-law to adopt the Community Improvement Plan (CIP). The by-law was adopted on October 15, 2024, under Section 28 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.
In making this decision, Council considered all written and oral submissions received regarding the CIP.
AND TAKE NOTICE any person or agency may appeal to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) in respect of the by-law by filing with the clerk, no later than the 4th day of November, 2024 a notice of appeal setting out the objections to the by-law and the reasons in support of the objection and must be accompanied by the prescribed approval fee required by the LPAT made payable to the Minister of Finance. The appeal must be accompanied by the LPAT appeal form. Alternatively, an appeal may be filed directly with LPAT through their website https://olt.gov.on.ca/appeals-process/
Only individuals, corporations or public bodies may appeal the by-law to LPAT. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or group on its behalf.
The proposed CIP is exempt from approval by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. The decision of Council is final if a notice of appeal is not received on or before the last day for filing notice of appeal.
PURPOSE AND EFFECT
The purpose and effect of the CIP for the Town of South Bruce Peninsula is to provide a program of financial incentives to assist business and property owners in the redevelopment and improvement of property through the County Spruce the Bruce program.
