Town Hall is open today; staff can assist residents via phone, e-mail, or in person if it is safe for you to get to the office. Other Town facilities, such as the Wiarton Arena and the Sauble Beach Community Centre, are also open today for regular activities.
Snow removal operations continue today; staff will not only be clearing last night’s snow from their routes, but will also attempt to push back the snowbanks from plow turnarounds and widen the travelled portion of the roads. Curbside garbage collection is cancelled today, Wednesday, January 29th due to the current and forecasted weather conditions. Please bring your garbage in from the curb so it does not get damaged or buried by snow removal operations. Residents that typically receive garbage collection on Wednesday (Section 3 and Section 5) will be permitted to place two untagged bags out for collection next Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
The Town reminds residents that the Significant Weather Event that was declared on Monday, January 27, 2025 remains in place. The declaration is to notify the public that due to the current or forecasted conditions, caution is to be observed when travelling on Town roads and sidewalks and that it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads and sidewalks back to a state of repair.
