The Town of South Bruce Peninsula has declared a significant weather event on Sunday, February 16, 2025 due to forecasted or observed weather conditions.
South Bruce Peninsula wishes to note that the declaration of a significant weather event is not notice of a reduced level of service or a road closure. The declaration is to notify the public that due to the current or forecasted conditions, caution is to be observed when travelling on municipal roads and sidewalks and that it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads and sidewalks back to a state of repair.
Some areas of our municipality are receiving high winds in addition to snow accumulation, leading to reduced visibility and drifting. For your safety, please consider delaying any travel plans until the weather conditions improve. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to clear the roadways. Stay safe!
