Public Works staff are still cleaning up from the previous days’ storm events. There are still some roads that are currently closed for snow removal:
- Lakeshore Boulevard North from Main St to Sauble Falls Rd
- Sauble Falls Road from Lakeshore Blvd N to the end of Grove’s Point
- Northacres Rd from Bruce Road 13 to Meadowland Rd
- Bay St from South Oliphant Rd to Oliphant Way
- Shoreline Ave from Oliphant Way to Spry Lake Rd
- Shoreline Ave from Spry Lake Rd north to the end
These closures can be found at https://www.municipal511.ca/. Our staff provide live updates for municipally owned roads through the Municipal 511 website, which includes a great visual map of the road closures. Bruce County Transportation also utilizes the website to post their road closures as well.
Due to the road closures still in place, curbside garbage collection has been cancelled Wednesday, in addition to the cancelled collections on Monday and Tuesday which were previously reported this week. Please bring your garbage in from the curb so it does not get damaged or buried by snow removal operations. Please hold onto your garbage and place it out for collection next week; you will be permitted to place two untagged bags at the curb on your next regularly scheduled collection.
The Town reminds residents that the Significant Weather Event that was declared on Sunday, February 16, 2025 remains in place. Caution is to be observed when travelling on Town roads and sidewalks and that it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads and sidewalks back to a state of repair.
For your safety and ours, please give space to snow removal crews. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to clear the roadways.
