Ice Storm Update 2

South Bruce Peninsula Firefighters, Public Works crews, and Hydro One are working hard to clear roadways and restore power. Hydro One is hoping to restore power along the County Road 9 corridor, but residents in remote areas should be prepared for at least 24 hours without hydro.

 

• Sideroad 15 is closed between Bruce Road 8 and Spring Creek Rd due to flooding.

• Wright’s Cres from Purple Valley Rd. to Coveney’s Rd. remains closed due to downed trees and power lines.

 

Email Public Works to report downed trees on roads.

 

• Ferndale UPI Gas Bar – Open until 7 PM

• ESSO Gas Station in Sauble Beach – Open until 9 PM

 

Generator Safety Reminder: Always operate generators outside to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.
